Welcome from your innkeepers Kathleen and Rick. The Gathering Inn is a vital, interesting place, offering private and shared bath rooms, as well as longer-term room rentals and apartment rentals.  We provide comfortable beds in a quiet, safe and friendly environment. There is no television, but we do offer lively conversation. 

Nestled in the mountains of the beautiful Green Mountain National Forest in Hancock, Vermont, we're just 6 miles from the Long Trail, 8 miles from the Middlebury Snow Bowl and 20 miles from Sugarbush and 23 miles from Killington ski centers.

We offer free transportation to/from Middlebury Gap for Long Trail hikers and skiers--please call well ahead to arrange pickup. You may use our kitchen to prepare your own meals, or eat out at one of several local eateries.

Life is never boring at the Gathering Inn with antics provided by our animals - Little Bug the Hen and a flock of 30 chickens, and Zinn the Cat and friends.
