Location
Located in the Center of Vermont, and downtown historic Hancock, guests can travel to Vermont's best attractions and easily return in time for dinner. Four miles north, in the town of Granville a noted glass blower can be observed at work. A short drive west on Route 125 is the school of a world renowned Bird Carver. Further to the west is the college town of Middlebury where unique shops abound.

From New York City: approximately 7 hours / 290 miles. Take the NYS Thruway to exit 24 to I-87 North (Adirondack Northway) to exit 20, turn left on Rte 149 East to Fort Ann, turn left (N) on Rtes 4 & 7, turn right (E) on Rte 4 toward Killington, turn left (N) on Rte7/Rte4 to Rte4 East, turn right and go up the mountain to Rte 100, turn left (N) and follow Rte 100 through Pittsfield, Stockbridge, Rochester and into Hancock. The Inn sits on Rte 100 just past the junction of Rte 125.
From Boston: approximately 3-1/2 hours / 175 miles. Take I-93 North to I-89 North to exit 3 (Bethel). At the end of the ramp turn right onto Rte 107***. Just before the town of Bethel (3 miles) Rte 107 makes a sharp left. Follow Rte 107 for about 10 miles to Rte 100 North. Go about 12 miles through Rochester and into Hancock. Then as above.
*** Rte 107 is currently closed due to Hurricane Irene. Until it reopens there are two options for getting here. 1 - if the weather is good and/or if you have 4WD (call us for advice), you can follow the above direction but drive past the turn off to Rte 107. Continue through the town of Bethel and a few miles past the town on your left you will see a left turn onto Bethel Mountain Rd/Rochester Rd. Turn left here and follow over the Rochester Gap. At the stop sign, take a left until you hit Rt 100. Take a right and drive approximately 7 minutes into Hancock. 2 - if the weather is poor and you are traveling after a big storm with a city car, take I-89 North to Exit 9, Middlesex. At the end of the ramp, take a left. At the stop sign, take a left onto Rt 2. Take a Right on 100B. Follow 100 B until it continues onto Rt 100 South. You will drive approximately 35 minutes on Rt 100 until you reach Hancock. We are on the left before the Rt 125 turnoff.
From Albany, NY: approximately a 3 hour drive Take I-87 North to exit 20, then as above.
From Burlington: approximately 1-1/4 hours / 60 miles. Take I-89 South to exit 10 South (right then left through Waterbury), over bridge to Rte 100 South. Go about 34 miles through Waitsfield, Warren and Granville into Hancock. The Inn is on the left just before the junction of Rte 125.
